Deciding on the best cleaning technique for your brand new Jeep

So what do you do? How exactly should you clean your Jeep so as to make sure it doesn't get scratched and so that all grime is removed? It's a hard question.

Well let's go through some of the major guidelines for looking after your Jeep, courtesy of, and then you can make up your mind about which is the most effective option.

1) Stay away from automatic car washes. Automated car washes are not designed to thoroughly or safely clean your vehicle in any way but instead they are manufactured to let as many cars through in the fastest time possible. It's all about profit. You should also know that the rollers could potentially end up damaging your car by tearing off pieces of trim, ruining radio aerials, wing mirrors and spoilers. So it might be a better idea to try out another cleaning method.

2) What about a hand car wash? A hand car wash may offer a more thorough job than automated car washes but unfortunately they too suffer similar disadvantages. Hand car washes, much like automated car washes are not really designed to clean your vehicle safely and reach the best possible results. Also if you decide to clean your Jeep yourself then you are unlikely to have the expertise to clean it to a professional standard and are just as likely to scratch it.

3) You should think about using a valet service. If you go to your local Jeep dealer then they may have their own valet service, if they do, it would be a good choice to make use of it. If not, they are probably affiliated with a valet service or may be able to help you to find a reputable service to use. Ideally you should use a service that specialises in Jeep cleaning but these are usually few and far between. Therefore you may have to settle for a general valet company.

4) What services can you expect? The many car cleaning services that are provided include interior detailing and shampoo, full hand wash and vacuum cleaning, upholstery and fabric cleaning, leather treatment, polishing, paint protection, engine cleaning, dent removal, window tinting, windshield repair and rust proofing. Having the knowledge of what services are available means that you can make requests and it ensures that you get value for money. In fact, many people who have taken out a Jeep leasing deal from have said they regularly use such a service.

5) Compare companies before making a commitment. You need to talk to a couple of valet firms so that you can scrutinise their charges and services and choose the one that offers the most. It is vitally important to do this as you want to get the best from your Jeep, so it is important to get what you paid for.

The use of decent car cleaning services will make sure that your car is maintained in top condition and that you travel in comfort and luxury, which is precisely what you want if you have recently taken out a Jeep leasing deal.
