Post study work visa UK is now available until April 2012. With post study visa you can apply for and take any job in the UK for up to 2 years. You do not need a sponsor to apply for this visa. You apply for the visa yourself and there are some point needed. You will need to wait until you get your qualification and have been awarded your degree before applying for the post study work. You earn 10 points for having sufficient funds for the maintenance of the visa. Postgraduates student will not be able to apply for this visa, but it is possible to work legally on a fixed term or part-time until your student via expires.
When applying for the visa in the UK, you need the following documents:
• Your passport showing that your last permission to be in the UK was as a student or tier 4 general. If you studied in a different type of immigration you must apply for post study work in your home country.
• Proof that you meet the maintenance requirement
• Your police registration certificate
• If your studies were funded by an official sponsor, evidence that they consent to the post study application.
There is no restriction upon the type of employment you can take. If you get a job before your student visa expires, you are permitted to work for a maximum of 4 months on completion of your studies. But you cannot take on work as an entertainer, sportsperson or pursue a career by starting a full-time job until you get your post study work visa UK.
