Fun in Costa Brava Spain

Spain has numerous regions, cities and towns all of which are perfect for a holiday any day. But perhaps the most interesting thing about the country is the fact that it has lots of coasts under its name offering endless pleasure to all tourists and visitors coming to the country for a holiday or vacation. The Costa Brava is one of the many coasts you will find in Spain and there are lots to do and enjoy while on the coast.

Costa Brava sits on northeastern part of Spanish coast of Mediterranean and it belongs to Girona province. It occupies a while 214 kilometers from French border all the way to another coast which is Maresme. Its name means wild coast and was given as a result of the rocky parts found on this coastline. The beautiful bays found in this coast are however impressive and are wonderful holiday resorts for any kind of visitor coming here.

The villages in Costa Brava have been developed to accommodate the huge numbers of tourists coming here every year and you will now find very modern facilities such as hotels and other leisure features all of which make any holiday most comfortable and enjoyable. Villages such as Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar have developed quite intensely and have some of the best facilities in the coast. Apart from all sandy beaches offering all kinds of fun activities, there are other attractions found on the coast.

The Casaques town is one such attraction. It is a picturesque town and it is where Salvador Dali, the famed painter lived. His home here is open to the public and is well worth visiting while on the coast. Other interesting features within this coast include the Dali museum theater found in Figueres where you can enjoy the great sculptures and paintings from the famous artist and also the Ullastret which is an old Iberian area of settlement. Here you will find interesting temples, granaries and houses.

The ruins of Puig de Castellet are worth visiting and so is the Ampuries town which is rich in history. In the town you will enjoy mosaics, paintings and also the amphitheater found within it. Costa Brava offers everything anyone could be looking for in a holiday from the endless fun and relaxation on the beaches to the amazing sights and learning experiences off the sandy beaches.
