Niagara Falls is a favorite honeymoon spot for the newly weds around the world. It is also a very famous tourist destination. Niagara Falls is a collective name given to three separate waterfalls namely the Horseshoe Falls (also called the Canadian Falls), the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. One of the most amazing and unique thing about Niagara Falls is that the Horseshoe Falls is in Canada and the American Falls in America. The comparatively small Bridal Veil Falls is also in America. Niagara Falls also forms the international border between Ontario province of Canada and U.S. state of New York. It is also famous for some of the extreme stunts performed by many stunt performers. On the American side, the American Falls can be seen from walkways along Prospect Point Park. The Maid of the Mist tour boat is also a great way to get up close and personal to these falls. The small Goat Island provides a great view which is accessible by a bridge over the American Falls. Cave of the Winds is also a great place to see. Niagara Falls State Park provides Trolley service throughout the park and also has a small aquarium in the park. Helium balloon ride or helicopter rides are available for the aerial views. Besides tourism, this wonder also helps in generating electricity from the Hydroelectric Power Dam in New York. The water usage of the dam is controlled during the tourist season to maintain this natural attraction. The Queen Victoria Park on the Canadian side has platforms which provide amazing view of both the Canadian Falls and the American Falls to the tourists. From the observation deck, you can have the highest overhead view of the falls. A cable car is used to take tourist over the Niagara Falls. After dark till midnight, the amazing view created by the floodlights on both sides of the falls is not a thing to be missed because it gives you an amazing and spectacular joy of the falls. It is considered one of the best places for honeymoon because of its eye-catching beauty.
