Taking the help of touch screen technology, mobile manufacturing companies have developed Touch Screen Phones. The first phone of this category was IBM Simon, which was invented in the year 1992. These phones are immensely popular among the consumers owing to their advanced applications and tools. A touch screen is a mobile device, personal digital assistant or portable media player, wherein you have to use a mostly-touchscreen-based user interface. Three types of touch screen mobile phones are available in the market such as capacitive screen, resistive screen and Infrared screen.

Resistive screens are normally applied with an object while touching the screen. Some amount of pressure is required for pressing the button in comparison with the other two types. There are two layers of the screen on these resistive screen phones. Through both layers electricity flows when the user touches one layer it gets into contact with the other and the information associated with the touch is disseminated to the processor of the phone.

Another touch phones available in the market is the capacitive touch sensitive screens. These phones are also available in two different types. The first category of these phones is capable of recognizing multiple touches at the same time whereas the other category cannot do so. Simple in terms of use, these phones are touched with flow of electricity. These touch phones can be operated even with the aid of a human finger. As there is a change in the flow of current, the phone processor is given a notification of the change and points out the area of contact. The greatest disadvantage of these phones is that these touch phones cannot be just worked by just any object. The object should possess some flow of electricity going through it for the functioning of these phones.

Infrared touch screen phones are known to be little bit expensive than other phones, which provide most sensitive screen. These phones can be availed in two types viz; optical and heat touch sensitive screens. Optical screens effectively functions with the aid of infrared rays and a gentle touch registered in the processor of the phone will enable to locate where the user have touched the phone. Similarly, the heat sensitive touch screen also works in this manner, except that it is responsive to the warmth of touching object on the screen.

Touch Screen Mobile Phones from distinguished brands like Apple, Samsung, HTC and Nokia have created a great demand in the market. Now-a-days, you can easily avail a premium quality touch phone at cost-effective prices. Moreover, the present day touch phones are coupled with all the latest applications and tools.
