You might also need to change the IP address, gateway so the server can find network and to keep it on the network so you can audit the system. Server provisioning is actually based on resource requirement. You can use hardware and software according to your requirement.

The other side is user provisioning. It refers to creating of accounts and later maintenance and deactivation. This side has already been discussed. The CIO is responsible for all these activities.
