How to Lower Blood Pressure and Control Your High Blood Pressure

Blood pressure is one of the frustrating conditions of the body. High blood pressure is that medical condition in which the pressure of the blood on the arteries increases. The normal blood pressure is 140/90 mmHg. MmHg is millimeters of mercury. The high blood pressure is a problem that should not be ignored as if it is ignored then it can even cause heart attack, stroke, damage on the brain and sometimes kidney may also fail in some cases.

The high blood pressure is recorded as systolic pressure over diastolic pressure. The systolic pressure is when the heart is beating and diastolic pressure is when the heart relaxes between the beats of the heart.

The long term strategy to control your high blood pressure is to take an active pat in taking care of your health. The active le takes into account all things like diet, exercise, stress relief and lifestyle changes.

Lifestyle changes like quit smoking; stop taking alcohol, make a habit of daily exercise or walk will help to control the high blood pressure.

Stress makes an important role in making the blood pressure high so try to avoid the situations that will cause stress. You can involve yourself in stress removing exercises, listen to songs of your choice so that your mind does not constantly think of that situation which is creating a stress in the mind and making the blood pressure of the body high.

Now comes the diet part includes the following diet plan:

Decrease the intake of salt in the vegetable you eat and also avoid adding top salt on salads and vegetables. Avoid pickles as they have lot of sodium content in it. The medicine for lowering high blood pressure will work only when you are taking less salt in your diet. The daily intake of salt in your diet should be one spoon or 6 milligram.

Juice of carrot and coriander is very good for lowering high blood pressure. You can also put lime juice in it to fulfill the requirement of vitamin C

Shred some ginger and squeeze it to take out its juice .Put some honey into it and have it. This is good for heart.

Fruits like grapes, oranges, papaya contain lot of minerals and vitamins that will rule out the possibility of any kind of deficiency in your diet.

Potassium is very good to neutralize the effect of sodium in the diet. You can get lot of potassium from banana, sweet potato, peas, beans, tomatoes etc

The kiwifruit help to fight hypertension. Kiwi is rich in potassium and Vitamin C, it helps that lowers down the BP. Kiwis also contain an antioxidant called lutein, which helps to fight the disease.

For chocolate lovers, eating dark chocolate is very good as it increases the elasticity of blood vessels and the chances of stoke or heart attack due to high blood pressure decreases.

Always get up early in the morning and do deep breathing in fresh air. This will reduce the stress level and also minimize the chances of high blood pressure. So your high blood pressure can easily be controlled by following a proper diet plan, doing exercise and making some lifestyle changes.
