Kyocera TK440 Cartridge –Easy Steps to Recycle and Refill Kyocera Toner Cartridges
The users of TK440 Kyocera toner cartridge are given two methods to recycle or reuse the product. They can either return the empties to the printer manufacturer or use toner refill kits to do refills on their Kyocera print cartridges. Nevertheless, anymethodchosen by the users requirethem to follow the list of proceduresbelow.
Method A: Returning the Cartridge to Kyocera
The Kyocera TK440 toner cartridge is almost completely made out of polymers or plastic andcomprises of only minor amounts of metal and other components. Since empty cartridges are often rejected in most recycling facilities, Kyocera devoted their efforts through its Toner Container Recycling or TCR Program to accept, reuse, and recycle Kyocera print cartridges.
Users are encouraged to do the following in recycling Kyocera toner cartridges:
Place empty cartridges inside their original packaging or the shipment box in which the replacement cartridge came in. Furthermore, the cartridge should be sealed in a plastic bag.
Before packing, wrap some newspaper around the cartridge if possible to prevent any occurrence of transport damage.
Lastly, refer the packed cartridge to the local Post Office.
Kyocera does not grant free return labels on its packages, so the courier fee to send empty Kyocera print cartridges to the OEM's recycling facilitiesis the user’sresponsibility.
Method B: Refilling Kyocera Print Cartridges
Countless users resort to refilling empties with compatible toner powder due to the expensive price of OEM Kyocera TK440 toner cartridge. The toner refill kit used in Kyocera TK440 cartridges are sold for only $46 while its OEM counterpart retails at $145. However, the compatible toner is capable of producing the same OEM print quality and page yield despite the huge price difference. Recycling Kyocera toner cartridges through refilling still proves to be the most practical method. The following techniquesshould be followed in order to refill Kyocera emptieseffectively.
Take out the empty cartridge from the FS6950 laser printer whileremoving the toner plug. A small flathead screwdriver or a thumbnail maybe used in the process.
Dump old toner from the cartridge by placing it with its fill hole turned over a plastic sheet lined trashcan.
Loosen slogged toner particles by shaking the compatible toner bottle.
Open the toner bottle, screw the supplied funnel cap tightly, and gently transfer toner through the fill hole into the toner chamber.
Reseal the fill hole using the toner plug aftertransferring the toner powder.
Before installing the cartridge back to the printer and resuming your print jobs, you have to shake the cartridge slightly to dispensethe toner evenly inside.
