Kerala is a treasure trove of countless treasures. Although a narrow strip of land nestled between Western Ghats and Arabian Sea, Kerala is enormously blessed with bounties of nature. Kerala is thereby a popular tourism destination. Kerala is situated in the Malabar Coast of south western India. With its unspoilt beaches, enchanting hill stations, placid backwaters, exotic flora and fauna, emerald landscape and sophisticated art forms – Kerala lures even the most discerning of tourists to its fold.

The pristine beaches are prominent of attractions that are visited by great number of tourists during tours in kerala. The world is slowly discovering Maraikulam beach. It is a vivacious beach. Maraikulam beach holds an exhilarating ambience, effervescent with energy. The beach is ideal for sunbathing. The sea is safe enough to take a dip in salt waters. In this magical beach there are opportunities to engage in parasailing and surfing. Varkala is a stunning beach and an ideal holiday destination. It offers a serene atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Varkala beach offers a marvelous sight. A high rocky cliff ends abruptly from where a stretch of clear sand extends down to the sea. This make for fascinating landscape. Varkala beach is also called “Papanashini”, since a dip in the holy waters of beach is believed to cleanse one’s body and soul of all the worldly sins. Kovalam is the more prominent of the beaches. It was brought to the tourism limelight by Travancore Kings and is one of the oldest known tourist spots of India. In ninety seventies Hippies swarmed to Kovalam. From then on fame of Kovalam shot up. It found a place in global tourism map. Formed by three crescent shaped beaches, the most endearing quality about Kovalam is that it has not lost its primordial innocence despite the highly corrupting influences of commercialization and crowdedness. The seas of Kovalam are shallow. This fact combined with calm weather makes it safe for swimming. Most are unable to resist the temptation to sunbath in the white sandy beaches of Kovalam. To top it all the accommodation facilities and quality of service available in Kovalam are superlative. Most of the resorts are situated in the vicinity of beach letting one savor the eerie ambience throughout the stay.

Kerala is blessed with exotic flora and fauna. The opportunity to relish its wildlife is another attraction of Kerala. Thekkady is the more preferred destination. Thekkady homes the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary. It is famous for its evergreen tropical forests and Savannah grass lands. Many animals including elephants and tigers roam the sanctuary. It is declared a Tiger Reserve. There is an artificial lake surrounding the sanctuary formed because of Mulla Periyar dam. There is facility for boat ride in the lake savoring the wildlife and landscape. It is perhaps the only place in India where you can relish wildlife from the safety of a boat. Herds of elephants coming to play in the lake are the most interesting attraction of Thekkady.

Munnar is an enchanting hill station with salubrious climate. Blessed with beauties of nature galore, it is ideal for trekking and mountain biking. There are also many interesting sightseeing spots nearby Munnar.

Apart from all these, Kerala tour packages also offer tourists to enjoy backwater tours and holidays. Savoring the backwaters is the single most experience you cannot miss in Kerala. Backwaters are a unique Kerala phenomenon. Cruise in Houseboat through backwaters is a blissful affair.
