Whiskey Cakes and Chilled Drinks in Insulated Glasses: Enough to Celebrate Any Moment
Last week my daughter had her birthday and she was all excited to make it memorable in bet of terms as it was last in town because after this she is going out for graduation courses. She wanted to treat all of her friends in best possible way. The concept of arranging a birthday bash at hotel was good but until it was a dream. Simply saying our financial limits do not allow us to afford such luxuries. On the other side, to keep my daughter in best of her mood was also important for us. Ultimately, we decided to arrange an exciting well planned birthday party for her ten close friends at home. But, the task was not over; next responsibility was to decide, arrange and serve the tasty treats in best of style. We sat together to discuss the options and finally settled for whiskey cakes and variety of beverages.
Most of items in decided menu list were to prepared at home to keep the overall cost low. On the other side, I was preoccupied because of official projects sparing very limited to time to be spent in kitchen. My neighbor told me to use cream chargers for making whipped cream at home. I decided to make Chocolate Bourbon Whiskey Cake. It is easy to make at home and does not need much of time. The most of needed ingredients and cookware were already present in kitchen shelf. It took just 45 minutes to be ready. You too may try this, the required ingredients for making whiskey cakes are:
• 1 cup unsalted softened butter for greasing the pan
• 2 cups flour for dusting the pan
• 5 ounces dark unsweetened chocolate
• 1/4 cup instant coffee
• 2 tablespoons cocoa unsweetened powder
• 1 cup bourbon whiskey, more for sprinkling
• Half teaspoon salt kosher
• 2 cups sugar granulated
• 3 large size eggs
• 1 tablespoon extract of vanilla
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 cup powdered sugar
The recipe is available on many online platforms and can be tried even if you are not perfect or experienced in baking.
Variety of drinks was going to enhance the pleasure of every cake bite. Instead of buying packed drinks, I used soda dispenser. I installed it on a small table at party spot. It made my task of serving easier because any one could use it to refill her/his glass. Luckily, I have two sets of insulated glass. The chilled drinks in insulated glass and tasty whiskey cakes brought everyone, invited, in mood to enjoy the party at best.
