The Importance of the Exhibition Stand Designers’ Art
A trade fair or exhibition is a vital experience for companies and businesses of all shape and sizes. Whatever trade area you operate in, the show is your chance to make new contacts, re-invigorate your relationship with old ones and generate business designed to keep you going through the next financial year. As a result, the exhibition stand designers you use are more than just a convenience – they can make the difference between a really successful show and a simply average one.
There are two basic types of stand design – a modular type stand, which is pre-fabricated to general standards and adapted for use by your company; and a bespoke design, created and built specifically for you.
It isn’t always necessary to have a bespoke design – nor yet should you always consider going for the cheaper option of having a modular stand modified to meet your needs. The right design, as any professional exhibition stand designers will tell you, is the one that most perfectly allows you to do your job while you are at your trade show – and the one that most brilliantly encapsulates your brand to the passing eye.
Because the trade fair is, as much as anything, about catching the public eye. It’s about brand visibility. And that means using exhibition stand designers who have as much of an eye for your own originality as they do an understanding of lighting, or space constraints. For your brand to really stand out in an exhibition, your stand needs to take on the same individualistic aspects that your brand does.
A trade show is also about having meetings – which you would normally do on your stand. So your exhibition stand designers need to be capable of building you a space in which you can have private conversations with clients, discuss contracts and build up new relationships – while still allowing the general passer-by to come in and browse at will. It has to be open and flowing, yet capable of providing areas for quiet discussion.
Be aware, too, that your staff need an exhibition stand design that they can work in comfortably during the often long hours at a show. Adequate seating, comfortable desk areas and a space for storing personal belongings are all ideal.
So as you can see, the exhibition stand designers’ art is a little more complicated than just putting up some temporary walls!
