Kerala is one of the favorite tourist states in India. The state is globally famed for its abundant beauty of nature, sandy beaches and long back water network. There are many world-famous holiday spots located around the state attract lots of visitors from far away places. Known as the “Cultural Capital of Kerala”, Thrissur is wonderful place to visit in Kerala. The city is renowned or its cultural values. It has been center of spiritual learning for long time. Thrissur Pooram festival, one of the important temple festivals in Kerala is celebrated in the city every year in the month of April or May. There are many important temples also located around the place including Thiruvambadi Sri Krishna Temple, Vadakkumnathan Temple and Paramekkavu Temple. The Our Lady of Lourdes Metropolitan Cathedral and the Basilica of Our Lady of Dolours churches are also important religious sites in the city.

Athirappilly Waterfalls

Athirappilly is a beautiful waterfall in Kerala located about 80 km distance from the popular city Cochin at the Chalakudy River. It is one of the most beautiful sites to visit in the state located amid dense green forest. The steamy waterfall has the height of about 80 feet. May and October are the best months to enjoy the beauty of this wonderful site.


It is a beautiful hill town and pilgrimages center in Kerala located at the border of Kottayam-Idukki district in the state. The place is blessed by abundant natural beauty and enjoys pleasing climate throughout the year. Vagamon is also famed as the “Scotland of Asia”. Kasargod is a backwater spot located in northern region of Kerala. The town is also known for rice cultivation and coir processing. Many important Hindu temples and historical places also located in its vicinity are also worth visit attraction. The Madhur Temple, Mallikkarjuna Temple, Theruvatthu Mosque, Chandragiri Fort, Malik Deenar Mosque and The Bekal Fort are the popular sites to visit around this town.


It is the most tranquil and least populated district in Kerala located at the Western Ghats. Wayanad is known for its untouched beauty of nature.
