The Largest State of India, Rajasthan
India is a colorful country which has been ruled by many different kings and dynasties for centuries. People who come to tour India can see and encounter many things, which they cannot find anywhere else in the world. Udaipur - The city of lakes if often referred to as the ‘Venice of the East’, is a beautiful city which is famous for the magnificent Lake Palace and other tourist attractions. The Lake Palace is situated on an island on Pichola Lake and is a beautiful structure made of white marbles. The other attractions include the City Palace, Jag Mandir- an island on Pichola Lake which gives a good view of the city, Lake of Fateh Sagar, Jagdish Temple, Monsoon Palace, Pichola Lake, Gulabh Bagh Gardens, Udaipur Zoo, Nehru Garden, Ahar Museum, Dodh Talai Garden etc. The lakes in the city are also very popular with tourists who go on India travel packages which include Udaipur.
Jaisalmer - The ‘Golden City’ is famous for the beautiful palaces and exotic Jain Temples, which are very old. It is an important city for India’s Defense Forces as the city is near to the border with Pakistan. The most sought after attractions of the city are: the Jaisalmer Fort - inside this fort lie the Royal Palace, Lakshminath Temple, gardens and Jain Temples, the havelis (palaces) of Patwon, Salam Singh, Nathmalji and Sreenath etc. Other attractions include the different Jain heritage sites located near the city. Jodhpur - This ‘Fortress City’ lies in the heart of the Thar Desert and has many temples, forts and palaces which are popular with the tourists. The most famous among them which are visited by people during their India tours include, Mehrangarh Fort, Clock Tower, Masooria Hill etc. The city is also known for the famous fairs and festivals that take place from time to time.
