Mythological Celebrities Remembered During Manali Tour

Manali tours will be interesting because of the heritage factor of Manali named after the originator of Hindu dharma shastra, Manu, and it is here that Manu stepped off his ark to recreate human life after the great deluge destroyed the living beings in the world, and there are wonderful spots here reflecting incidents and personalities heard from mythology and ancient Hindu tradition.

•Arjun Guha, which is important on historical and mythological points of view. It is in this place that Arjuna of Mahabharat epic is supposed to have practiced austerities to get Pashupata Asthra, a weapon he obtained from Indra.

•Vashisth temple, well known for its hot springs, with shrines for Sage Vashisth and Lord Rama, an important spot to be seen in Manali tour.

•Jagatsukh, one time capital of Kullu valley, where tourists can visit old temples of Lord Shiva and Sandhya Gayatri.

•Rohtang Pass, which is at 51 km distance, on the Manali-Keylong road, with 4112 metre height, is a spot which gives panoramic view of the mountains around..

•Solang Valley, which has good skiing slopes equipped with excellent lift, encouraging adventure sport in Manali tourism.

•Manikaran, a beautiful spot located amidst the river Vyaas and Parvati in the Parvati Valley of Kullu district, believed to be the place where Manu parked his ark in Manali .
