There are so many wonderful cities and exotic tourist locations to explore in the amazing state of Rajasthan. If I were to create a list of all the cities for touring, it would be a very long list. So I decided to give you some brief information about the most popular touring cities in Rajasthan. A Rajasthan tour package must include these premier cities.

Jaipur - Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan state, popularly known as pink city. It is the first planned city of India and it is also one of the cities of India's famous golden triangle tour. Jaipur is the most visited city by tourists in the state and famous for its grand forts and palaces. Some major tourist destinations in Jaipur are City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Albert Hall Museum, Jantar Mantar, Jal Mahal, Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, etc.

Udaipur - Udaipur arguably is the most beautiful city of Rajasthan, this city has royal touch of Rajasthan. Tourists from around the globe come here to see royal and elegant palaces and lovely lakes. Lake Palace, Monsoon Palace, City Palace, Pichola Lake, Fateh Prakash Palace, Jagdish Temple, Shiv Niwas Palace, Udai Sagar Lake, Fateh Sagar Lake etc. are the famous ones.

Jodhpur - It is the second biggest city of the Rajasthan after Jaipur. It has so many amazing places to explre such as Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Mandore Garden, Balsamand Lake & Palace etc.

Mount Abu - Mount Abu is the only hill station in Rajasthan and it is situated on a 1,219 meters high rock plateau of the Aravalli hills. Mount Abu is a popular tourist spot during summer time and it attracts lots of local and foreign tourists. Most of the Tourists want this beautiful place in their Rajasthan tour package. It is perfect destination for holidaying with family and friends and it must be included in Rajasthan holidays.

Pushkar - Pushkar is more famous as a Hindu pilgrimage site rather than a tourist place. Thousands of Pilgrims come to this city to take a dip in the holy water of Pushkar Lake which is surrounded by hills on the three sides and sand dunes on the fourth. The famous Pushkar fair is an experience of a lifetime and it attracts huge number of tourists from all over the world.

Ajmer - Ajmer is another important pilgrimage center of Rajasthan, the city is famous for the tomb of Muslim saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, popularly called as Dargah Sharief.

Some other cities in Rajasthan to explore are Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Ranthambore. For Wildlife enthusiasts Rajasthan tour packages include places like Sariska Tiger Reserve in Sariska national park, Keoladeo National Park, Chambal Wild Life Sanctuary, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and Ranthambhore National Park.
