Chennai Airport Facilities
Although there are no hotels in Chennai Airport apart from the one attached to the impressive Taj Madras Flight Kitchen, the airport itself is something of a hotel, with many facilities you can take advantage of after landing or before taking off.
If you take your relaxation seriously you can even sign up to the reserved lounge scheme and book in advance for a luxury rest area, but the airport terminal is spacious and comfortable for most purposes and anyone can use the general rest area which offers a peaceful area in which to relax whilst waiting.
For meals, try the Taj Madras Flight Kitchen restaurant where the menu is eclectic and the food tasty and you always get excellent service. Snacks and other light refreshments are available at several outlets, along with international newspapers and bookstalls.
All the facilities you would expect are on hand from nappy changing rooms and medical facilities to all the connectivity and battery charging points you require to keep in touch and fully connected.
Duty Free has a host of perfumeries and luxury travel luggage shopping to linger over, as well as more bars and restaurants after passing through security and passport control.
Whether you’re simply passing through or staying for a longer period, Chennai Airport has everything you need to make your stay a pleasant one. After landing, have a meal and then change some money before arranging a taxi to your hotel and preparing to explore this great city with its many attractions.
