Wonderful Place Las Ramblas

Las Ramblas is a wonderful place. The venues are all lined with trees here. It is in the centre of Barcelona. It is almost two kilometers beginning from the Placa catalunya to the Port Vell. It has been separated as five different sections. Those five sections are Rambla Santa Monica, Ramblas de Canaletes, and Rambla de Stan Josep, Rambla dels Estudis and Rambla dels Caputxins.

The first stretch that one can see when they begin from the Placa is the Rambla of Fountains which is the Ramblas de Canaletes. This section is very exciting and amazing. It is always believed that when a person has a drink here they will definitely get back to Barcelona.

People who have visited this place love it so much that they will definitely get back every year to visit the Rambla. This place is definitely a very addictive tourist spot. People flock to the Rambla. It is one of the most amazing places in the Europe. Rambla is an Arabic word which means stream. There was a stream that was running by the city during the 14th century and hence it got the name Rambla.

After this stretch is the Rambla of birds which is the Rambla dels Estuidis. Here one finds numerous birds that would be singing. These birds are all caged. The Estudis name was given to this section as there was a University during the 16th century. To the right is the el raval district and in the left is the Gothic Quarter.

Once you got on the right you can see a lot of bars, cafes, shops and hotels lined on the streets. The biggest and the most famous market of Spain called the La Bouqueria is also here. This market gets its name from the Rambla de Sant Josep which is well known for its flowers since the 19th century. One can find a lot of entertainers and artists in the streets who entertain the tourists. When there are more tourists more the merry as they go out of the way to entertain the tourists. Later there were also statues of humans. This came up only during the 20th century and it is a big hit as most of the tourists love it.

The other starches are also amazing. There is a La opera. There is also the Carrefour supermarket where tourists can buy all that they need.

In short the Ramblas is an amazing place to visit.
