Isaba and the Surrounding Regions of Pamplona

Isaba is a small town as well as a recognized municipality located in the Navarre community of northern Spain. It is a prominent region of Roncal valley. In case, you’re planning to explore Spanish assets in on your holidays, you must visit Isaba for experiencing a peaceful vacation.

Isaba is the home of some legendary monuments and medieval pilgrimage centers that are important from cultural as well as religious point of view. Some popular artifacts of this city have been mentioned below:

Chapel of The Holy Ghost:

Generally known as Silo de Carlo Magno or the chapel of the Holy Ghost, situated in Roncesvalles, dates back to 12th century. Chapel of the Holy Ghost is situated in a deep cavern which encompasses the corpses of several travelers who died while they were visiting the chapel. The well-known bell tower of the chapel directs lost pilgrims to this place and the nearby Chapel of Santiago.

Viana:

Viana is a fortified medieval town that was nominated as the princedom by the legendary King Charles III. This place includes the popular Tomb of Cesar Borgia who was the famous commander of Navarra’s armed forces. Other than this, there are twin town halls (constructed in 17th century) which were used for organizing bullfights.

Puente La Reina:

Puete La Reina ranks top in the list of most beautiful Spanish villages. The major attractions of this village are an ancient bridge (built during 11th century) and the central region enclosed by towering walls.

Eastern Valleys:

The Roncal valley and the Salazar valley, together known as the “Valleys in the East” or, the “Eastern valleys”, are surrounded by lofty mountains that reach up to 2000 meters in height. They offer you a brilliant excursion.

Baztan Valley:

Baztan valley is famous from tourism point of view. This region offers wonderful scenery, over viewing the valley of Pamplona. Eliozondom an important town located at the banks of Baztan River is a major attraction, identified for its mini palaces and stunning manorial houses.

Situated at a distance of 8kms from Seville, you can visit Roman Ruins of Italica at Santiponce. Among the relics is the colossal Amphitheater which is mostly visited by the tourists. The pre-historic houses, mosaics, statues and other remains of this region are preserved in the Palace of the Condesa de Lebrija and the Archaeological Museum of Seville.

Ochagavia:

Ochagavia, a diminutive romantic village located in Salazar valley, offers impressive mountainous landscapes for adventure lovers. Nuestra Señora de Musquilda, built in 13th century, is the most popular roman monument here.

Other celebrated buildings of Roncal valley include Mausoleum of Gayarre (a popular Spanish opera singer) and chain of manorial houses. You must visit this place at least once!
