Holidays in the UAE

The ease of travel has made many different destinations in the world far more accessible than they were in the past. Furthermore some parts of the world become more popular as tourist destinations when this may not have been the case in the past. This is certainly the case with the ever increasing popularity of the United Arab Emirates.

This part of the world consists of seven emirates, some of which are better known than others when it comes to planning a holiday to this part of the world. Dubai and Fujairah are both very popular among those who want to enjoy a superb break in this region. Dubai is the place to go for huge hotels, The Autodrome and the impressive sight of the Palm Islands. Indeed it is worth seeing if you can spot this huge man made structure from the air as your flight approaches the area.

But while Dubai often grabs the bulk of the headlines for holidaymakers in the UAE, Fujairah is fast becoming a desirable destination too. It is just a couple of hours from Dubai so if you wish to plan a break that takes in both places you can easily do so.

If you enjoy taking part in water sports, Fujairah certainly has plenty to offer in this sense. Scuba diving is regularly available here, as is snorkelling if you feel more comfortable doing that. Either way you will get to see the delights that are beneath the waves, not to mention spend some time relaxing on the beaches. There are many to enjoy too, including Khor Kalba and Khor Fakkan.

One of the key highlights in Fujairah is the city centre. This boasts a large and very new mall that has only recently opened. With over a hundred stores to browse around from the day of opening, this has quickly become a must see destination for anyone in town. Indeed, shopping across the United Arab Emirates is a must do activity for most people on holiday here.

Watch out for other things you can see and do while you are in the area, such as visiting the superb market in the town of Masafi, which you will pass if you travel from Dubai to Fujairah. The landscape in Fujairah is also dotted with mountains, which sets it apart from many other areas in the emirates. Thus you can take an excursion to view these areas as well. It’s worth doing to get a completely different view of the emirates.

As you can see the UAE has plenty to offer. You can book your Fujairah hotel safe in the knowledge that there is plenty to do and to enjoy in this area. The only difficulty is in deciding what to do first.
