In common windows logon screen, windows lists all your enabled account, only requires you fill the password. To better protect your computer from password guess and windows password recovery, you can hide user name at windows logon screen as well.
Option 1: Through Netplwiz

2. To Turn On Automatic Log On for a User Account, check the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer box, and Click on the user account name, that you want to have automatically log on at startup, to highlight it.
3. Uncheck the users must enter a user name and password to use this computer box and click OK.
4. In the Password field, enter the selected user account's password and again to confirm it, then click OK.
With Automatic Log On, you will not see this anymore. Windows 7 will boot into the desktop of the selected user account instead.

3. In regedit, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem.
4. In the right pane, right click on dontdisplaylastusername and click on Modify.
5. To hide user name at windows logon screen, type 1 and click on OK.
By default, the value data is 0, which shows username at logon screen.

Knowledge:
Interactive logon: Do not display last user name
This security setting determines whether the name of the last user to log on to the computer is displayed in the Windows logon screen. If this policy is enabled, the name of the last user to successfully log on is not displayed in the Logon Screen. By default, it is disabled.
The above two approaches to hide user name at windows logon screen are easy, but you have to remember the username as well. In order to prevent the case that you forgot windows 7 password or user name, create a Windows 7 password recovery disk for that account when you finish the above steps.
