‘Customer is King’ is the quintessential example what a customer stands for to any firm, organization or business, however big or small. In this customer driven industry, keeping a customer happy is the most important things people pay attention to, because it is rightfully meant that way. This customer-centricity has led to the formation of various CRM tools that help companies not only acquire new customers but also maintain long term bonds with the existing loyalists. CRM stands for customer relationship management, and the industry is blessed to have access to idealistic CRM tools that make their job much easier.

Customer relationship management software contains everything a company might need in order to maintain cohesive bonds with old and new clients alike. It contains a comprehensive customer profile of each customer. It includes every small detail like the kind of item generally preferred by that customer, the average spending per month, personal details like birthday, anniversary date etc. Customer relationship management software automatically sends out invitation cards to customers when a new product is about to be launches; it doles out greeting cards when a customer has his/her birthday or anniversary and so on.

Just imagine how would you feel when you enter a barber’s shop after long and one of the barbers personally addresses you by your name and asks you where have you been all this while? Wouldn’t it feel absolutely great? More so, if there are other people present who are looking at you? This is because the barber known what customer relationship management stands for, and he’s managing customer relationship just about perfectly. It’s impossible to know each of your clients’ names by memory, and that is when CRM software comes to your rescue.

So what are the benefits customer relationship management software offers?

• Sales Force Automation: You won’t need your sales people to manually check the records of each client daily and make a list of all those who are to be wished on their birthday! CRM software does the job for you and thereby saves a lot of time of your employees.

• Marketing: The chief reason why anyone avails CRM tools is to gather high quality marketing leads and then add deploy marketing tactics by using the customer data stored on your CRM software.

• Analyzing: Your customers need to be constantly analyzed in order to see how frequently they purchase, how much they purchase and how much they spend on each purchase. Apart from that, studying which campaign worked on which segment is of vital importance. Customer relationship management software is well trained to do all these chores.

While CRM tools take care of customers, there are other tools which are as vital that look at the internal functioning of the organization, including the employees. These tools are known as performance management systems.

A performance management system evaluates whether the goals and objectives of an organization have been fulfilled as designated or if there’s been any discrepancy in any department. It can help in correcting the flaws of various departments individually.
