The World is changing - are you ready for your personal transformation?

The world is changing. The Arab spring is a wave of transformation and liberation sweeping across the middle east – it is just starting, but changes we never thought were possible, are happening at pace. Climate change is a global challenge driven by development, industrialisation, consumerism, materialism and social progress the world over. The economic crisis in the west is not yet fully understood in the length and scale of the impact it will have on our lives, our children’s lives and our children’s children’s lives. . Technology is transforming the way we learn, interact and relate. We are all beginning to appreciate the need for a work life balance to avoid stress, overwork, breakdown and illness. It’s not just a few people but whole generations are beginning to look for more meaning and personal value in their lives.

Without traditional communities, families and cultural and spiritual rituals and systems, we have generations of people who have lost the ways of learning which have fostered our development for millennia.

Some will be turning inward for development, others with will be seeking development from others. Some will be choosing to seek greater self and spiritual worth and meaning as they reflect on their lives; many, many others will have personal transformation thrust upon them through changing economic and personal circumstances our of their control.

Increasingly, personal development, is and will be, where more and more people across the world will be turning to for increased fulfilment and choice in their lives. In many contexts this will be rooted in the need to gain skills to be effective, survive and compete in an increasingly complex world.

This is an age where trainings, seminars and adult learning’s can blossom the world over. Neuro linguistic Programming is probably the most incoherent term for any body of language in the planet. When John Grinder and Richard Bandler first coined the phrase they had to come up with something which described their work precisely - which they did but their work now has much wider application. Both have tried – New Code NLP and Design Human Engineering have been two attempts to re-brand. Tad James and Wyatt Woodsmall brought us Timeline Therapy – all trademarked programmes. INLPTA, ITNLP, ABNLP, ANLP etc all produce differing standards. So the whole field suffers from a lack of overall agreement and coherence which does the field a great dis-service.

How much of the original work of Satir, Bateson, Perls and especially Erickson’s work with hypnotherapy and metaphor has become mainstream? Only tiny threads of these immense learning’s have permeated mainstream thinking. NLP underpins all organisational development theory. It is the basis of proven talking therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and used directly as a therapy in many countries as therapeutic NLP. It is the basis behind all coaching approaches, life coaching, executive coaching, and sports performance coaching. NP is the basis of all modern hypnotherapy – mainly because of the modelling of Milton Erickson’s amazing hypnotic work.

Traditionally NLP courses and training have focused on NLP Diploma, Practitioner and Master Practitioner programmes. These are excellent personal development opportunities that have given countless people the world over massive personal insight, personal choice, ultimate flexibility, massively enhanced performance and communication skills. However, the problem is that the only people who undertake such development have already learned all about NLP and what it will offer them.

The self development movements offer personal development courses and trainings in such a way that it forms an attractive consumer friendly proposition. If we are to respond effectively to this huge emerging need we have to move away from traditional models and marketing. One such approach is the NLPremium Practitioner offered by SimplyNLP.Me and – This model takes the traditional trainings, enhances them with personal coaching, one to one hypnotherapy as well as NLP training to advanced levels and packages it up in a Luxury Five Start all inclusive resort. This surely is the model for the future of personal development – where value and excellence provide the ultimate opportunities for personal development in a desirable and affordable package.
