Why Not Use Phone Shops?
There's nothing worse than a broken phone, regardless of whether it is actually the phone being non-operational or a small crack on the screen. Both of them can be heartbreaking, and something that people shouldn't want to deal with. Fortunately enough, not many people have to with the use of phone repair services - specifically those tailored to repairing iPhones. Usually, if you're looking to repair a phone, you've definitely got a couple of options available to you - a phone shop or a service that you mail your phone to. Both of these can be good, but one is definitely better than the other. We'll tell you why.
Phone shops are expensive. This is the biggest reason that people are moving away from the brick and mortar phone shops. They cost a bit too much, even for the same exact solutions. The reasons why are simple - the overhead is generally a lot higher. People who work in phone shops generally have much more expensive rent than the other style of services. They also have benefits and insurance that must be paid for. Unfortunately, these costs are always passed along to the consumer. This means that you'll end up paying quite a bit more.
They're not necessarily more experienced. Phone shops tout that they are more experienced, and in some cases they can be, but it shouldn't be taken as fact. It's simply not true a lot of the time. In the end, it takes people to staff a company, and there's nothing to say that one is more experienced because they work in a certain place. In fact, it could be said that people who work in phone shops are less experienced because they're not doing it on their own, which means that they don't necessarily have the skill set or confidence to do it successfully without some help.
Phone stores even work with third parties. The store that you take your phone back to in the event that it breaks may even send it off to the third party, anyway. This is probably one of the most interesting things, as many shops won't tell you that. The reason why is simple - the service is a lot cheaper if they do it this way. What's more, the phone shop isn't particularly scared to tack on additional fees on top of the repair, even though they didn't do it themselves. If you want to cut out the middleman, this is definitely the way to go.
Phone shops are still very much needed, and they can at times get the job done. We don't want people to think that they're not good, but many aren't as good as they claim to be. With these three things being evident, there's no reason why you should deal with them to fix your phone. Restore your sanity and happiness by choosing the third party service, as you'll be able to save some money, use experienced technicians, and won't have to worry about your job being outsourced to someone else.
