Motorola Atrix 2 has more or less the same capabilities of its predecessor, Motorola Atrix 4G, which was launched 10 months before. The basic functions of Motorola Atrix 2 are the same when compared with Motorola Atrix 4G. The major difference is the 4.3” touch screen that most of the smart phones possess these days. The screen includes only less glare from sunlight. This Motorola Mobile has Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system with MotoBlur interface. This smart phone is very much different from the original Atrix; however it resembles more or less some of the latest Motorola handsets such as Photon 4G and the Droid Bionic. This smart phone is not as meddling when it comes to the previous versions of MotoBlur wherein you had to sign up to use the mobile device.
You obtain 5 customizable home screens that can be personalized using different shortcuts and widgets. You can even press the “Home” button to view a zoomed-out view of all the 5 home screens. You can easily select any particular home screen.
This smart phone includes a dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP4 processor. The touch screen is very much responsive and receptive in nature to taps and swipes. Underneath the display are present the typical Android shortcut touch keys for menu, home, back & search functions. Micro-USB and Micro-HDMI ports are present on the left side of this mobile phone, while the right side consists of the volume rocker and camera buttons. 3.5mm audio jack and power/screen lock key is present on the top of this mobile phone. This mobile phone has a 8MP camera along with LED flash. It also has a front facing VGA camera for video calling purpose. The 8 MP camera has the capability to capture great pictures in normal sunlight. The internal storage memory of this mobile phone is said to be around 8GB while you can expand the external memory up to 32GB using the microSD card slot.
The battery life of this smart phone helps the talk time to be around 8hours and 50 minutes and the standby time to be around 382 hours.
