Microsoft offers Black Friday deals

For all those hoping to grab a bargain on gadgets, Microsoft is offering substantial discounts on a range of products for a special Black Friday sale!

As with other major retailers, the software giant is hoping to whip up a Black Friday frenzy with some amazing deals on laptops, Xbox 360 consoles, games, accessories, PC software and more.

Microsoft's 14 retail stores across the nation will open at midnight Friday and offer the discounts through Monday.

Apart from slashed prices in retail offerings, some discounts will be offered only at Microsoft’s online store.

Gift cards and discounts:- Purchase of a Personal Computer from a Microsoft Store location between midnight and 6 am on Black Friday comes with an extra $100 store gift card which can be used for any kind of accessories or games.

Additionally, Microsoft stores are offering shopping promotion discounts corresponding with how much a consumer spends beginning Black Friday right through Jan. 2, 2012.

A shopper will get 15 percent off for every $100 spent in-store, 20 percent for $500 or more and 25 percent off on purchases of $1,000 or more.

On the games front, Microsoft is dropping prices of Assassins Creed Revelations, Batman: Arkham City, Forza 4, NBA 2K12, FIFA 12, Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty Black Ops from regular price of $59.99 to just $28 for each.

The computing giant has dropped the price of Sony Vaio S137GX notebook by $400 to $599 on Black Friday and that of Samsung RC512 laptop running Windows 7 to $499 from its normal price of $799.

Another online deal includes Acer Iconia Dual-Screen Touchbook for $599 as against marked price of $999. Deals on software:- Microsoft is offering Xbox Ultimate Gaming Bundle, which includes accessories, a game and a 90-day Xbox Live membership, for a saving of $200. Another Black Friday deal has the Kinect Sensor Holiday Bundle with three games (Fruit Ninja, Gunstringer and Kinect Adventures) for $99, down from the normal $149.99.

Other savings on offer are free Windows Phone devices with a two-year contract and Microsoft Office Home and Student software for $120 as against normal price of $150.
