Online video marketing is promoting a business or service by assembling a series of frames in to a video for a particular time length and uploading them on websites like youtube. For television advertising, a business man has to buy time on various channels to market his product or service. The cost increases with the length of time and the number of times the advertisement is repeated for the day and for which program. The more the TRP rating is for a particular program, the more expensive will be the time space. And the minimum cost will be a bomb and the organization should have that much budget. Because of this reason, only large businesses opt for television advertising. This is not the case for online video marketing. The prospect of inexpensive and in most cases free advertising attracts business men of large and small organizations alike to video marketing. The reach that online video marketing has is huge and this form of advertising has gained popularity over the years. All you need to start a fast track video marketing is a computer connected with high speed internet like the one offered in Xfinity Deals.

Viral video marketing gains instant popularity among the public. People who wish to market anything be it commercial, corporate or retail can buy space on popular websites. The purpose of doing this is so that when a user opens the website, the first video pops up will be the particular one for which space was bought. Nowadays people even buy “likes” or “views”, which means that when a new user sees the popularity of the video which can be determined with the number of likes and views will get curious and immediately click on the video to appease his curiosity. This is how it gains popularity among the public. This is called viral marketing, the reach that a video gets in a very short span of time. Marketers should also strategize in such a way so that it does not end as just hype for a short period of time.

So will any video gain popularity? It is hard for a video to be popular when it is un-attractive. A business man should not only concentrate on posting the videos at the right places but also give importance to the making of the video. Before starting on the video, a research has to be done on the popularity of the product or service, the targeted group, the best way to highlight the product or service, etc. for example, if the video is going to be on cosmetics and if the video’s going to have two guys talking about the women’s cosmetics, the video is not going to gain any popularity. So videos have to be shot according to the targeted group. It can also be a series of shpts of the product our service. Keeping it short and simple is very important. If the video is going to drag for long, then people are going to get bored and stop it half way through! Use some crisp audio or quotes and attractive videos to gain the attention of the internet users.

The biggest disadvantages with online video marketing are the loading or the streaming time. The videos may stream faster for those who have a high speed internet, but those who have a normal internet, then streaming will be very slow. People may lose their patience and stop watching the video because of the time taken for it to stream. So the video should not be very heavy with too many things either this or the video must be very short.

Youtube has become one of the biggest portals for online video marketing, but apart from this directory there are so many other websites in which videos can be posted. The reach will be better if the video’s posted in as many sites as possible.
