Doors and windows are an integral part of any building and have helped in increasing their outward appearance to a great extent. They are meant to provide protection and make the houses weather resistant. Different functions are found for the doors and windows. But nowadays, the factor of beautification is ruling the times so that most of the houses are having windows which are made of wood.

With the help of wood, the windows are possible to be given a shape that is not only beautiful to look at, but is also quite strong and durable. With the best quality wooden windows, people can have a number of advantages when they use these windows.

The houses are made in different sizes and rooms are also of different dimensions. To suit the size of the rooms and the exterior of the houses, the windows are framed and glasses are used on a wooden frame. The amount of wood that goes into the making of the wood windows can vary with different thicknesses of these frames. Though wooden windows can be usually painted in the brown colour, other colours can be applied with a sprayer to make them coloured as per the room.

The style of using glass windows and sliding windows has added a new dimension to these wood windows, in which such structures can be crafted with different designs of glasses. Wood can be used liberally or in small amounts to give a different look to the windows. These are not entirely made of wood or other materials. Styling can be done in different forms as per the wish of people and they will still have the factor of straight and durability.

For whatever design we may choose, the durability factor has to be kept in mind in order to create something beautiful and more and more houses are being provided with such doors and windows. The houses can still have a contemporary look by styling the windows in a traditional manner. This kind of architecture is being done nowadays to showcase the essence of houses which will be modern, but the inside of the house carries a separate aura for the residents.

Even when people look at it from outside, the windows stand out in the entire structure. Much of the design work nowadays is being done with the wooden windows in different shapes and finishes. Even people who are building their houses are going for such styles, without sticking to the modern looks. Contemporary and traditional designs in the wood windows are being preferred, which is resurging in the minds of the architects.
