The Insider Secrets for diamond blades Exposed

A diamond blade will usually fall under four categories – segment, turbo, segment turbo and wide gullet. Depending on what you’ll be using it for, select it from among the four types. Before purchasing, ask the supplier to show you a range of blades before making your choice. Specify exactly what you’re looking for and make sure the blades meet your criteria.

Among the many tools being used today, diamond blades are among the most useful. Able to cut through hard materials and objects, the blade is basically a saw with industrial diamonds placed on the blade to enable it to cut through tough surfaces. There are a variety of blades as well and are divided depending on the industry. For instance, the construction industry uses them to cut stone, concrete and ceramics while the IT sector uses it to slice through semiconductors.

Grade makes a big difference when it comes to choosing blades. Here, grade doesn’t apply to the diamonds but the metal that’s used to hold the diamonds in place. For instance, if the metal is of a softer bond and is used on abrasive materials, it could wear off the diamonds on the blade. As such, simply purchasing expensive diamond blade without taking into consideration what you’re going to cut is pointless.

There are many manufacturers in the market and selecting the right blade depends on the purpose it’ll be used for. Most of the ones made today are general purpose blades so they have the ability to cut through a variety of surfaces. But since materials can vary in terms of abrasiveness and hardness, general purpose diamond blades may not be able to accomplish the task properly. As such, selecting the right blade for any job is key.

It’s always a good idea to buy several blades so that each can be used for the purpose they’re designated. Of course, if the materials you’re working on are usually hard and uncompromising, then it’s better to select a blade that’s known for its performance rather than durability. Since most users of these blades are running on tight schedules, they need to get the job done fast. As such, it’s wiser to buy a blade that can perform well.
