About Construction of Above Ground Pool Liners
Before the replacement of an above ground pool liner it is needed to measure the pool. If there is a round pool, the diameter and wall height is required to be known. Oval and rectangle pools will require measurements for the length and width. It will also need information about the bottom of the pool. A standard floor has a coving that is about 4 inches in height up the wall and 3 inches inward from the wall. Overlap liner pools tend to have larger coves and most overlap lined pools are built to fit universal overlap liners ranging from 48-54 inches in height. After measuring the wall height from the base of the bottom tracks to the top of the wall. We should not measure from inside the pool, and should always measure from the outside. It is necessary to move any obstacle that may be in the way so that the measurement from the base of the pool becomes easier. Measuring in upward direction till the bottom, this is the pools top rail. This is the wall height. Next the diameter is required, if the pool is round. Measure across with tape measure making sure that this is the halfway point for the replacement of the above ground pool liners.
If the pool is oval, the measurements should be taken from the inside of the pool wall near the top of the pool. A tape measure should be used to measure from straight side to the other straight side on the inside of the wall. We should next use a tape measure from one curved end to the other curved end in the center of the pool. The two dimensions should be placed together. This is the oval pool’s length by width measurements. Measuring a rectangle pool is done the same way as an oval pool. All above ground pool liners are subjected to punctures and tears from outside elements.
