Whenever someone talk about b.tech students the expectations raises as b.tech is one such professional degree course which is specially designed to produce quality technical professionals. As the syllabus of b.tech is designed by keeping the view in mind of teaching 60 % of practical knowledge and 40 % of class room teaching of every technology which comes under b.tech curriculum. B.tech is all about learning applications of technologies, trouble shooting etc. This is why organization like AICTE(All India Council Of Technical Education) visit every engineering college throughout the nation to be sure about the standards of these colleges, whether these colleges are capable of delivering quality engineering education.

But, in the present situation the quality of the b.tech professionals is not at all up to the mark due to various reasons. One of the main problem is shortage of caliber teaching professional in majority of the engineering colleges. As most of the engineering colleges can not afford the compensation charged by these experts. Only top reputated institutions like IIT's and NIIT's can afford them. Secondly, in order to replace these well caliber faculties, these engineering colleges are hiring fresher's as lecturers, faculties and experts in their colleges as these fresher's do not charges much compensation for their work. Moreover most of these fresher's faculties are not well skilled also as they have just passed out and knows limited about their field. One should to atleast M.tech for teaching engineering students. Another reason is practical teaching is decreasing day by day in the engineering colleges because no one is their to teach practical applications of technologies, and the main motive of every engineering student is to clear the semester examination and not learning application of technologies. The practical and laboratory are now just for formalities in these engineering colleges, no one cares about practical's.

Whereas, the first and foremost requirement of the leading companies and MNC's is that the students must have a solid technical base, only then they can consider the students for their entry level jobs. As after the recession hit of 2008, no company is ready to invest on training programs of any type. So these companies are looking for quality fresher's who can easily adopt them according to the requirements of the company and start giving result in short time. But, in fact majority of the fresher's students not at all fits in these criteria's set by these top companies, as they are not at all technical strong.

This is the major reason behind the increasing rate of unemployed b.tech students in the market now a days. Because companies are asking for the degree, they are asking for strong technical background. As a result, the popularity of short term summer training programs are increasing at a rapid pace. Moreover, summer training has been announced as a compulsory part of b.tech curriculum, because summer training is the only option for gaining solid technical attainments in the present scenario. Summer training, if only done from a leading training companies can be very effective in improving technical skills of the students which can surely help students is cracking recruitment and placement programs of top companies. As, during these summer training are trained on live projects given by the clients to these leading training companies for development, as these training organization not only provides training but also deals in development services also. Because implementation is the best way to learn technologies practically. As for project development one must have great practical knowledge of the technology.

These summer training are very essential because during these training programs students get opportunities to cover all those important aspects which they miss during their four years of engineering curriculum and are very crucial like great technical background on their respective technologies. Summer training in a very short time covers all basic requirements for great career in future. Summer training, in other words is a opportunity where students can improve their technical and personality aspect for a secure future in technical field. Summer training is the only way out towards a great career and must be done with best possible efforts.
