SMSTS & SSSTS Construction Skills Safety Training
Construction is a heavy duty industry which is frequently happening in today’s progressive development. Construction requires special knowledge and skills which bring on many local and international building regulations in every nation with a strong emphasis on safety.
April 2007 marked the milestone in the construction industry when the Construction Regulation in Design and Management came onboard. This new construction regulation requires all employers, business owners and managers as well as supervisors to be competent and knowledgeable over the health and safety issues of their workers in the work environment.
This construction regulation requires these authorities to provide the necessary safety training knowledge and skills to their construction workers or any other party that is involved or found at the construction site. Hence, all construction workers, managers and supervisors must undergo the proper construction safety training course on a regular basis to be well equipped and updated with the latest safety measures in the construction industry.
SMSTS & SSSTS Courses
Hence, the popular SMSTS and SSSTS construction courses with a great emphasis on safety have been designed and conducted widely throughout the nation to cater to the growing number of construction workers in the work field with the booming construction industry.
There are certain emphases in the SMSTS and SSSTS courses; the course schemes are structured in such a way so as to help all site managers and the site supervisors to demonstrate the appropriate safety skills and knowledge in construction to every client or contractor at the work site. The course contents are specially designed to manage and supervise a safer workplace with greater efficiency.
Trained site managers and supervisors would be able to identify potential site hazards and take the necessary safety measures for avoidance; thus, a safer work environment is created at the work site.
The SMSTS and SSSTS courses also help the site managers and supervisors prepare the necessary useful method statements and risk assessments in accordance to the Health & Safety at Work Act while other statutory requirements from the Act would be undertaken with the proper knowledge and procedure.
The SMSTS course is only 5 days long which can be structured as a 5-day block or one-day-per-week safety training course; it is valid for 5 years. This course would enable participants to be aware of the Health and Safety Act requirements with emphasis on measuring up to the Act’s requirements at the work site; course participants would pull up their socks on their own performance at the work site.
