Symptoms of Bone Cancer and Its Causes of Pain

The commonest symptoms of bone cancer are the pain that accompanies it the obvious causes of bone cancer pain is the tumor that triggers it in the first place. The tissue region of the bone gets infested by the tumor resulting in the pain. The degree of the pain caused by the bone cancer depends on the stage of the disease and some of the factors are blockage of blood vessels that lead to poor circulation in the bone area, hairline fracture in the bone, inflammation or infection, pressure on nerves in the bone area or the pain may also be the side effect of radiation or the chemotherapy that the patient may be undergoing for the treatment of the bone cancer. Tumors that reside inside the bone tissue puts so much pressure on the nerve endings that shearing pain occur. In general the secondary stage of the cancer is much more painful when compared to the primary stage. The very first symptom is the pain and one of the causes of bone cancer pain is the presence of tumor in the bone tissue. Also there may be a lump present which you can feel with your hands. There may be difficulty in movement of the limbs or hands present and the bones may become brittle and prone to breakage. While it is not necessary that these symptoms are associated with cancer only, it is better if you consult your doctor when undergoing such symptoms.

# Some of the other symptoms of bone cancer are weak bones that lead to fracture, tenderness and swelling of joints due to the presence of tumor in the joint region, fever, anemia, fatigue and rapid loss in the weight without any obvious reason.

# The various symptoms of the secondary stage bone cancer disease are chronic localized pain, weakened bones, frequent bone fracture caused by the inherent brittleness of bones even in the absence of external factors.

The various symptoms of bone cancer should be taken very much seriously and the patient should seek immediate medical attention for the right and early diagnosis of the disease. The causes of bone cancer pain will lead the doctor in the right direction.
