Many engineering wonders are there to be witnessed and the adventurist Desert Safari to be relished.
Dubai is a city and emirate in United Arab Emirates. It is located south of Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula. The emirate lets you witness a wide variety of scenery in a very small area. They include rugged mountains, phantasmal sand dunes, sandy beaches, verdant parks, dusty villages, opulent residential areas, ancient houses and ultra modern shopping malls.

Be it electronics, cars or consumer goods – the choice is extensive at competitive prices. Dubai is also known for souk districts located on either side of Dubai creek. As is happening for years, dhows, which are a type of Arabian vessel, from eastern countries would discharge the cargo and goods can be bargained over in the souks. Dubai is also a good place to buy Gold especially jewellery. Many boutiques and jewellery stores are found in the city. The Gold Souk in Deira houses about two hundred and fifty gold retail shops.
Dubai Tour Operators will book your ticket to Desert Safari. Desert Safari is an adventure tinged package. Expert drivers riding SUVs will take you to deserts for a roller coaster drive over sand dunes. In the evening they will take you to a vantage point to witness sunset. In the night, there will be dinner of Arabian cuisine complete with song and dance. If you do not mind getting car sick, the drivers will engage in dune bashing. Desert Safari is conducted on camels also.
Due to a boom in construction and architectural innovation in Arab world in general, and particularly in Dubai many modern interpretations of Islamic Architecture can be found in Dubai. This boom has taken modern Islamic architecture to new levels in skyscraper building design and technology. Dubai now boasts of more completed or topped out skyscrapers than any other city. The culmination of this movement was reached with the completion of Burj Khalif. Standing at about eight hundred and thirty meters it is now the tallest building of the world. The design of Burj Khalif is derived from patterning systems embodied in Islamic architecture. Dubai also homes a rich collection of buildings and structures of various architectural styles.
The Dubai tourist places to visit are Al Ahmadiya school, Bastakiya District, Dubai Museum, Jumeirah Mosque and Shindagha District in old Dubai; and Burj Khalifa, Dubai fountain, Burj al Arab Hotel, Dubai Marina and Palm Islands in modern Dubai.
