Some tribes refuse to have their photographs taken or even be filed as they believe that a camera steals a part of their soul with each and every photograph taken, if you tell this to art based photographers they would tend to agree with this term. The time lapsed can varry depending on the subject matter, but the time difference can vary from minutes, hours, days, months etc. Some examples of the different subjects that benefit from timelapse photography include:

Macro life – this can be plants and insects alike, it has the ability to capture a flower growing and blossoming. It also has the ability to capture a caterpillar turning into a butterfly.

Man made building and objects – you can use timelapse photography to capture buildings being erected, for example you could capture an Olympic stadium being built or a skyscraper being erected.

As you can see there are many interesting subject matters that can be captured from using timelapse photography, as it has the ability to capture a moment in time.
