They say that to know an individual better, you need to be that individual and it's not dressing up and behaving the same way as s/he does. In most cases, it just takes listening to what the person needs to say for you to know his/her side on a particular matter. A really good leader knows how to lend an ear to his/her subordinates too.

Certainly, listening is a vital factor in efficient leadership and management. It's inadequate that your side is the law, as you have to take the other side into consideration too. Your plan for success may have a set of weaknesses the other plan can answer if the two work hand in hand.
