Ground and Air Source Heat Pump- an Overview

Whereas the Air source heat pump is a unique concept. This pump uses the air outside the house as the heat reservoir and sink. An air source heat pump uses the principles of vapor compression refrigeration. When this pump is used for the domestic heating during the winter season, it absorbs heat from the air outside and releases the same inside the house. The phenomenon is just the opposite during the summer time. This pump can provide efficient domestic heating and cooling solutions. This type of pump is used in heating and cooling systems in the colder climate and helpful in heating water in the milder climate places. The cost of installation for these pumps is generally high but in comparison with the ground source heat pump, it is cheaper. The heating and cooling operations are performed by the movement of a refrigerant that is placed in the indoor and outdoor coils.
