Cloud computing can be defined as a process to deliver both computing & storage capacity together to heterogeneous communities. This process entrusts services with user data, software & computation over a framed network.

Cloud computing is mainly of 3 types:

I. IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)

II. Saas (Platform as a Service)

III. PaaS (Software as a Service)

In IaaS process, users normally rent servers (as many required) from cloud providers (one or more). In Saas process, users rent databases and different application software tools. Cloud providers have the responsibility to manage platform and infrastructure on which the entire application will run. In PaaS, users rent servers & associated system software tools from cloud providers.

Now the question arises is how do end users access cloud based applications?

The answer of this question is quite simple! They access through the help of web browser. No, it is not the only option available for accessing cloud based applications. Rather, they can be accessed also through some light-weight mobile or desktop application. However, in this later process, the user data as well business software tool is stored on remote servers. A lot of people claim that this particular computing procedure helps in making applications run faster with less maintenance and improved manageability. It helps in adjusting resources for IT to every type of business demand, unpredictable as well fluctuating.

Observing the present enterprise mobility scenario, some platforms can be used effectively for foundation of appropriate infrastructure. However, most of these platforms are quite similar to each other. They mostly resemble the same RM model which was introduced some years back. This is where cloud computing scores heavily. As discussed earlier, it is one of the most innovative and effective concepts to increase the mobility of an enterprise. Cloud architecture normally involves a set of multiple components communicating/linking with each other through the help of loose coupling procedure.
