Bullying New York leaves young children devastated

By Robert Harnick Subscribe to RSS | November 25th 2011 | Views:

Bullying among children is understood as repeated, negative acts committed by one or more children against another. These negative acts may be physical verbal, emotional or sexual in nature. It may either involve direct actions like hitting, kicking, teasing or taunting or may involve indirect actions such as manipulating friendships or purposely excluding other children from activities. Most importantly, bullying New York is an imbalance in real or perceived power between the bully and the victim.

Having said that, whatever be the type or cause, bullying New York has serious emotional, physiological and physical implications on victims. Proper implementation of anti-bullying laws and awareness about its kinds, can help curb this evil. The following are the common bullying New York types prevalent these days:

Physical Bullying: Any unwanted physical contact between the bully and the victim qualifies as physical Bullying New York. This may include punching, pushing, shoving, kicking, tickling, headlocks, teasing, fighting, use of available objects as weapons etc. Physical bullies tend to demonstrate high levels of aggression from a young age.

Unlike other forms of bullying New York, physical bullying is one of the most easily identifiable forms of bullying, as it leaves behind unambiguous trail of tangible evidence against the bully. Thus, it is easily to see that out of all the forms of bullying, this kind presents the most immediate threat of serious injury or even death for the victim.

Emotional Bullying: Emotional bullying New York is any form of bullying that causes damage to a victim’s psyche or emotional well-being. This may include rejecting, ganging-up against, spreading rumors about victim, ignoring victim on purpose, harassment, provocation, silent but hurtful gestures such as pointing, making faces etc. Children tend to be more easily effected by emotionally bullying, given their tender age and innocence.

Unfortunately, emotional Bullying New York does not leave evidence or manifestations, like scars or bruises, thus making it less noticeable by adults. It more often than not, wears down self-esteem and breaks the child's confidence.

Verbal Bullying: Verbal bullying New York is any slanderous statements or accusations that cause the victim undue emotional distress. This may include using foul language, name calling, commenting negatively, tormenting etc. Verbal bullying New York may prove to be very insulting and offensive and may leave behind a long-lasting impact.

Despite being the most common form of abuse, verbal abuse is generally not taken as seriously because of lack of visible proof. In reality, however, verbal abuse can be more detrimental to a person's health than physical abuse and may lead to psychological disorders in the victim.

Sexual Bullying: Sexual bullying New York is any bullying behavior, whether physical or non-physical, that is based on a person’s sexuality or gender. It is when sexuality or gender is used as a weapon by boys or girls towards other boys or girls. It can be carried out to a person’s face, behind their back or through the use of technology.

This nature of bullying has the worst physiological impact on young victims and often pushes them into severe depression and into having extremely low self-esteem.

Bullying New York is a hideous malpractice. The only way of getting justice and a suitable monetary award for the harassed victim is by engaging a capable child abuse lawyer to fight the case.
