Outdoor TV Aerial Installation Guide for First Time Users

Begin your TV aerial installation process by checking out the official website of the nearest broadcasting center. Open their map and directions from there. Mark your terrace and select a suitable spot which receives clearest signals. Note down the dimensions of the spot on a paper.

Now, visit your terrace and determine the direction using a compass. Take out your aerial mounting kit and establish the set up, following the instructions mentioned in the guide. In case you’re placing the antenna on slanting roof, make sure you use a non-slippery ladder for climbing up.

Make sure the wood or the cemented area of your terrace is hard enough to hold the bolts together. Now fix the setup and mount the antenna rotators on its top. Fasten it up tightly to the roof by drilling holes and screwing it up using nuts and bolts. You should fill the gaps with sealants to ensure moisture doesn’t penetrate inside.

Now proceed towards suspending the cables. Suspend wire from the aerial and lay it down. Drill small holes using a drilling machine at regular intervals and fix the wire using pins as well as cable ties. Don’t use tapes for this process because they would come out during the monsoons.

Thus, it’s quite simple to install outdoor TV aerial nevertheless you must observe proper precautions in order to avoid injuries. Make sure you wear rubber gloves or rubber suit to prevent electric shocks. Also, wear a helmet to prevent ground injuries. If you follow these tips, you can easily install an outdoor antenna.
