Bone cancer is a very rare type of cancer and takes place in the bones of the body. This cancer can take place anywhere in the body. Usually, the long bones of the arms and the legs are affected by it. There are many risks associated with bone cancer and they can surely be very extensive. Many complications take place when the disease is being treated. Many side effects and health challenges have to be faced by the patient. Given below are the risks associated with bone cancer:

# Increase in the blood calcium

When the bone is affected by cancer, it will result in an increase in the amount of calcium in blood. This leads to psychotic episodes among the patients. According to the research, if the calcium is increased, the ability of the patient to think or focus clearly is affected. These will also result in cramping. Some people feel very dizzy or dazed. If there is an increase in the calcium percentage, kidney stone problems can be created.

# Radiation therapy

This therapy is used as a treatment for curing bone cancers such as Chondrosarcoma. The pain that occurs due to bone cancer is eliminated. However, the risk of pain is lessened by the treatment.
