Is Independence an Important Factor for Growth in Children
Children are young buds who resonate to the future of any country; they are amateurs who always need to be guided by the right person and at the right point of time. Education makes a person not only a better human being but also matures their way of thinking and understanding about each and everything. Parents and family members are an important source of guidance and are the perfect mentors for them. Raising children on the other hand for parents is also a hard pill to digest but not an impossible one. Most of them are mischievous and are always getting into fights and brawls either at school or in the society where they stay with their family members.
Growth in every child occurs at every specific age and after successive time periods. For instance, when a child is of 5 years, understanding every word spoken by the family members is almost impossible for them but, when the same child gets older and turns out to be a 15 year old youngster anything can be understood in a matter of minutes and in some cases in seconds. This difference in thinking and comprehension comes with time and the right kind of parenting. One of the most important factors in the complete growth of a child is ‘independence’.
A child who is always under protection, to be precise over-protected, will always tend to make mistakes not only unknowingly but, also deliberately. The child knows that parents will always protect them and this is one fact which they tend to take it for granted. Such incidents lead to a breech of trust among their friends and siblings which in turn will be harmful for their future. Thus, it is important for parents to make their kids independent so that they can learn the truth of life not only under the protection of their parents but on their own as well.
This is a bitter truth ‘no one live forever’, similarly, parents too one day will not be there, at that point of time their thinking and understanding as well as knowledge about the world will help them to het through tough situations, no matter what. Independence brings in a sense of responsibility and also teaches to respect money and people. Children as everyone knows embodies the dreams of their parents which cannot be fulfilled unless and until they have sufficient understanding about how things workout in different surroundings and with different types of people. The tool of independence is far greater that what ever parents teach.
This factor teaches them what is good and what is bad, what is beneficial for them and what isn’t. Growth surely is a mysterious abstraction which occurs faster than anyone can think or presume. Children are also of various types of natures with different traits and thinking. Dealing with is a tough issue, it isn’t one for those who know what the truth of life is, this difference in thinking and way of dealing cannot be taught. It comes by its own, with maturity everyone seems to become and adult and face a world full of mysteries and false truths. Therefore, independence is quite important for an overall development in personality of a child.
