Do You Know Certain Games Enhance Your Child’s Concentration?

“Rahul! Make sure you come back on time. I want to see you at the study table at 6 O’clock sharp, and I can also see you are giving more importance to sports than studies”. This is a common dialogue that most of the parents often tell their children. It is necessary for the children to pay much attention to their academics than sports, but do parents realize that academics do not keep their children in a healthy state? Well, parents! There is also a life beyond academics. It is much more important to lead a healthy life than to score high in the exams. When will they ever understand that!

These days, many of the children are found to be suffering from attention disorder. Well, they can be treated easily with games, rather than treating them with medication. It is not even necessary to spare specific time for them to make them play those games. These games also help your child become smarter and concentrate better in their work, because if they concentrate in a better way then only they will be able to learn things. The best part is you do not have to let your child step out of the home because you can help them develop well through indoor games only. Some of the games are as follows:

1. Missing numbers is one of the games with the help of which you can improve the concentration level of your kid. Depending on the age of your children, count numbers from one to ten or more. Leave out some numbers every so often. Ask your children to catch the number which has been left out. Leave out different numbers every time and make your kid find them out. This helps the kids to listen to what the other person is saying with full concentration.

2. The other game could be “opposites”. This is especially for the preschool students. In this game you will call out a word and your child will have to speak out the antonym of the word. This also helps to increase their word stock.

3. Another game is “tongue twister”. Many children face a lot of problem in pronouncing certain words. In that case, play a game of tongue twisting with them. It helps them to improve their pronunciation. Ask them often to try the word “Swiss wristwatch”. The more they will practice, the less they will face any trouble while articulating words.
