Donate unwanted furniture

As time goes on, many of us end up with pieces of unwanted furniture in our houses, either because we move into smaller homes as the children leave or because we have invested in new pieces that are more fashionable. It is an expensive business furnishing a home, and those who have struggled hard just to get a roof over their heads may not have the spare cash to buy even basic items like beads and sofas.

Charitable organisations that provide these kind of services are so desperate for donations in these difficult times that they will even come and collect the items from your home free of charge. So not only are you doing something nice for the people in your local community but you are also getting rid of unwanted furniture at no cost to yourself.

It is not just the Salvation Army that accepts donations of furniture; there will undoubtedly be locally-run groups that do the same thing in your community if you would prefer to donate to them and make sure that your items go towards helping people in your area.
