The city is also known for its machine and metal industry, and its apples. Regardless of the hotel you choose to stay in during your visit to Daegu, it is certain you will be in the middle of the region’s happenings. The central night markets are a very popular activity and are a great way to explore the local pedestrian streets. Located in close proximity to the train station, the main pedestrian street winds its way through the heart of downtown and provides shoppers plenty of street vendors, shops and boutiques to choose from.
Many of the hotels in Daegu should have you within close proximity to Woobang Tower Land. This family-fun theme park is filled with rides; the most popular is the camel back ride. It is also equipped with an ice skating rink, a sky deck and a bungee jumping area. The tower itself is inside the complex and provides the best way to get a great view of Daegu.
If you have car hire, take a drive out to visit Gatbawi, the medicinal Buddha. This 7th century statute is famous for the flat rock on his head. This location is where some of the most stunning views can be seen of the surrounding areas.
