Promotional Products- Ideas for Keeping Promotional Products Effective
We have all seen them, and maybe even have a collection of them lying around somewhere. Those promotional products you can pick up for free from most any event. Ink pens, key chains, chip clips, compacts, combs, brushes, you name it and it can be made into promotional products. How do you keep the promotional products that you give from being considered as junk and tossed or not even taken? How do you keep them fresh and used so that your promotional products are continually in the face of the community and serving their promotional purpose? While we all love something for nothing, one can only use so many of any one item most of the time.
There are exceptions to the promotional products rule of you can only have so many of one thing however. For example, it takes much longer for one to have too many pens or t-shirts. That is because these are practical items that are commonly used. Promotional products that are practical and can be used every day are the best because they stay in sight. Food items are tricky, because though they are well received, the promotional part gets thrown in the trash. The best ways to used food as promotional products is to set it out in a bowl or candy dish for others to take as they please, then at least they are on display until they are consumed.
A great way to make an impact with products is to put like items together. For example, promotional products such as pens or pencils with a small notepad, a jar opener and a chip clip, or a stress ball and chocolate can be given together. Giving promotional products like this a cute name can be quiet effective as well. For example, label the chocolate and the stress ball, each with the "ABC Company" logo on it, as "the ABC Company Stress Survival Kit." This may even encourage some to not eat the chocolate but display it for a while to show the creative presentation of the promotional products.
The key to making promotional products work is to keep them fresh, make them practical, and present them well. Sometimes it works to just lay them out at a booth for the taking, but if you are a business that frequently gives promotional products all over town, you may have to change it up a bit. Try rotating the promotional products you give from month to month to keep them wanting more.
