All professional photographers must be familiar with the usage of a camera tripod. These three-legged stands are mainly utilized for the purpose of achieving a crystal clear still image. By using a tripod, you can enhance the sharpness of your shots because this accessory prevents your cameras from shaking because of shutter movement. This gadget is suitable for capturing multiple snaps in one go.

Due to advent of recent digital technologies, there are different camera tripod models available with slight variations and unique features. Since a tripod is an important investment hence, you should be cautious while making your purchase. It is necessary for you to explore the models introduced by different brands.

Mentioned below are some tips that will guide you through the process of purchasing camera tripod:

1)First of all, note down the weight of your cams. If you own a large-sized SLR cam, you should go for the standard floor tripod models that are made up of heavy materials. Cams that are below 50lbs can be placed on desktop stands.

2)Secondly, determine the size and the dimensions of the camera tripod. This generally depends upon your personal preferences and photography requirements. For instance, if you’re fond of traveling, you should go for a light-weight model whereas, wedding photographers can use a stand that is longer in terms of length. This helps them in covering the entire stage. Always purchase a tripod that comfortably reaches your eye level.

3)Next, focus on the stability. In order to test the stability of your tripod, it’s recommended that you carry your photography equipment along with you to the shop. Place your cams on the stand and check it or else, apply some pressure on the top. If your stand is wobbly, you shouldn’t purchase it.

4)Lastly, check the tripod head. A good quality camera tripod comes with two head models- the “ball and socket head” and the “pan and tilt head”. The pan and tilt head is suitable for shooting videos because it helps you in rotating the camera from left to right and vice versa. However, for still photography, where axis control is not that necessary, you can opt for the ball and socket version. This allows you to loosen the device thereafter; you can move it in all possible directions.

Keep these tips in mind while purchasing your Manfrotto Tripods.
