Are you employed in the field of film production? If you are, you are going to need the best equipment available, so that you will be able to effectively and successfully complete your various film production projects.

One of the most important pieces of equipment that is used for film production is a camera dolly, which was made to create camera movements that are smooth. Even though this device can be used as a type of shooting platform that is generally raised on the track in order to acquire smooth movements on the horizontal axis, some types are also equipped with a hydraulic arm that lowers or raises the camera on a vertical axis. It is important to note that there are various types of dollies that are available, depending on what you will be using them for.

Dolly tracks are primarily used for very heavy cameras that have originally been constructed using steel or aluminum. Steel is heavier than aluminum; however, it is less expensive and can withstand heavier usage. The track segments that are longer work smartly in order to use minimal effort to lay straighter, while transporting heavier ones. Dolly tracks are available in various types, depending on what you will be using them for. Also available are the plastic and curved track versions, which works exceptionally well with the lightweight dolly system.

One of the most popular types of these systems is the PROAIM Curved Dolly Track System, which is a semi-circle of 18-degrees at a 14.2 feet internal distance. This particular track is silver anodized and is constructed from aluminum. The track set is equipped with stoppers and track feet that allows it to be more stable, and ultimately helps it to deliver smoother videos. This track set is broken down into multiple sections; as such, it only takes a few minutes to assemble it.

Track Dimensions:

• Track Central Distance of 28 inches

• Track Rod Diameter of 1.25 inches

• Track Small Curve Rod Length of 3 inches (each)

• Track Large Curve Length of 3.6 inches (each)

• Track Straight Rod Length of 4 inches (each)

The package comes equipped with:

• Packing with bag

• 40 pieces of blue supports for the track

• 9 pieces of spacers for the track

• Curve track – Small curve rods (8 pieces); Large curve rods (9 pieces); and Straight rods (4 pieces).

This brand of the curved dolly track system is not only easy to use and assemble, but it also comes highly recommended. If you are looking to purchase one of these systems, you can buy it at any store that specializes in film production and camera equipment.
