And when a there are lots of deer hanging around, protecting your agricultural investments becomes quite tough task. Deer has become a huge problem especially for farmers in the United States, as they cause million dollar loss each and every year. Over the years, people have used different types of repellents as deer control method, but still they do not find themselves protected against the threat of deer to their valuable investments. If you have also used some repellents, but are finding them not working for you. Use wire deer fence.

When it comes to buying deer fence systems, there are plenty of options. You will find a wide range of fences available in varied sizes and shapes. Height and width are the most important factors, which everybody should keep in mind. 8 to 10 footers are said to be very effective protection against deer, as they have sufficient height to prevent deer from entering gardens, landscapes, crops, nurseries and many other investments. Some people use 6 feet high fences, but some big deer can jump over them and trample or eat on the crops. A fencing system should be very sturdy and durable. It should bear the pressure from mighty deer or other animals trying to eat or damage your investments.

If you are installing a fence system in your vineyard, you also need to ensure that you use high quality posts. Leave a foot or so at the bottom folded to the outside and slightly underground, preferably covered with rock. This will discourage burrowing animals like groundhogs and rabbits to entering crops. Make sure that you use at least 10 feet wide gates so that you can easily enter your property with and without vehicles.
