Whitewater Rafting

If you're looking for adventure, this is a great way to do it. There are many rivers in Costa Rica that provide great whitewater rafting opportunities. Sightseeing Tours

By far one of the most popular types of tours in Costa Rica, there are tons of different things that you can see. Perhaps you'd like to take a tour of a volcano and hot springs. Maybe you'd just like to see a small, historic town, or visit a tropical park. Whether you go on foot or by bus, on most tours you will have a knowledgeable tour guide with you and nature experts to point out the interesting animals and plants.

Helicopter Tours

One of the most amazing ways to experience Costa Rica is from above, in a helicopter. This is an amazing way to take in the views that nature has to offer. One of the most popular places to go by helicopter is over the volcanoes, since you get a unique view and there are no other ways to really get up close and personal with a volcano.

Horseback Riding

Whether or not you've had experience riding horses doesn't usually matter if you want to try it while you're in Costa Rica. Horseback riding is a fun activity in itself, so if you've always wanted to try it being on vacation is the perfect time to do so. If you have experience or are more interested in seeing the sights, most horseback riding tours will lead you through some of the beautiful countryside of Costa Rica, making it a very scenic and relaxing tour while bonding with a loyal animal.

Biking Tours

Cycling is a great way to be able to see Costa Rica. If you're an experienced cyclist there are also plenty of tours that give you the opportunity to push yourself while seeing the sights at the same time. Even if you don't have much experience biking, you can find tours for beginners or intermediates that take things more slowly and don't travel quite as far. Many of these tours go through parks, the countryside, scenic towns, and even on paths that will take you past some of the volcanoes. Try a tour that takes you up a mountaintop to really get an amazing view of the country.
