Nottingham City Centre Things to Do

There are so many different things to do in Nottingham, regardless of individual taste and budget. Whether it is taking in the history and culture of the city or dining at world class restaurants, Nottingham will be able to keep any visitor entertained. By staying at one of the hotels in Nottingham City Centre, visitors will be close to most of the local tourist attractions such as the Lakeside Arts Centre and the Theatre Royal.

Walks and Tours

No visit to Nottingham would be complete without a guided Robin Hood tour. There are a number of different tours that run throughout the city, every day of the week, such as the Nottingham Ghost Walk, The Nottingham Experience and the Nottingham Heroes and Villains Tour. Most of the tours that operate use an open topped bus service that starts in the city centre, and will provide commentary from a professional historian.

Museums and Art Galleries

There are a number of world class art galleries and museums, scattered throughout the city. For visitors that are interested in crime, the Galleries of Justice should be of interest, or for people more interested in the history and heritage of the city there is the Museum of Nottingham Life.

Cinemas and Theatres

Nottingham contains two very well known theatres, the Nottingham Playhouse and the Theatre Royal. Each night these world class establishments host a variety of ballet, opera and musicals. Also contained within the heart of the city is a Cineworld Complex with over twelve different screens, a selection of restaurants and a nightclub.
